Overview

Randle-Benjamin ABA Consultants is committed to providing accessible care. This overview outlines our general approach to insurance coordination and the various financial aspects of our services. We strive for transparency in all billing matters.

Plans & Carriers

We partner with a wide range of insurance providers, including Aetna, Partnership HealthPlan of California (PHC), Carelon, Cigna, Northbay, and Magellan. Please note that participation in a network does not guarantee coverage for all plans offered by that carrier.

Verification & Eligibility

Before starting therapy, our team will conduct a comprehensive verification of benefits. We encourage families to also contact their insurance member services to understand their specific coverage, deductibles, and eligibility criteria for ABA therapy.

Authorizations & Referrals

Most insurance plans require prior authorization for behavior assessments and ongoing treatment. We manage the clinical authorization process, but families are responsible for obtaining any necessary physician referrals required by their primary care policy.

Copays & Out-of-Pocket Costs

Patients are responsible for all copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles as determined by their insurance plan. These payments are typically due at the time of service or according to your agreed-upon billing cycle. We offer multiple convenient payment options.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Consistent attendance is vital for therapeutic progress. While we understand that emergencies happen, we require notice for all cancellations. Please refer to our separate Attendance Policy regarding fees that may apply for late cancellations or missed sessions.

Out-of-Network & Private Pay

If we are not in-network with your provider, we can provide a Superbill that you may submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We also offer private pay rates for families who do not wish to use insurance or whose plans do not cover ABA services.

Billing Questions & Support

Navigating insurance can be complex. Our administrative team is here to support you with any questions regarding your statements, claims status, or plan coverage. We aim to resolve all billing inquiries promptly and accurately for our families.
